How an engagement runs
Durations are ranges for a mid-size project. We confirm them with you before we start.
Needs call A 30 to 45 minute call
A clear view of the role, the stack and your team’s way of working.
We need: The role in your own words and a sense of the first three months.
Profile match 3 to 5 working days
A proposed developer with a summary of experience, and a chance to meet them.
We need: A short conversation with the candidate and quick feedback.
Trial period 2 weeks
Real work delivered from day one, with the option to stop or change the match.
We need: A first task that is real but not urgent, and a point of contact.
Onboarding About 1 week
The developer set up in your tools, repositories and rituals, and introduced to the team.
We need: Accounts, repository access and a walkthrough of the codebase.
Ongoing work and monthly review Ongoing, reviewed monthly
Steady delivery, a short monthly review, and room to grow or shrink the engagement.
We need: Honest feedback each month and a clear list of priorities.
Questions
How quickly can someone start?
After the needs call, we propose a match within about a week. Start dates depend on availability.
What if the fit is wrong?
Say so during the trial and we change the match or end the engagement.
Can the developer also train our team?
Yes. Mentoring and code review can be part of the work, and we offer separate training too.
How is the engagement billed?
Monthly, on terms agreed in the needs call. There is no long lock-in.
Tell us what you’re building.
A 30-minute call. We listen, ask the awkward questions, and tell you honestly if we’re the right team.
